Maria G. Gherman MD, MPH is a physician specialized in evaluating and prescribing natural Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement for Female Menopause, Male Andropause, Somatopause and other hormone deficiencies.

Dr Gherman will provide a comprehensive medical consultation of the chronological age with the goal to improve the biological age and to optimize the quality of life by preventing diseases and premature aging through hormone balancing and integrative therapy.

The Age Management consultation will include a comprehensive physical exam, a thorough evaluation of the symptoms, nutrition, fitness, current medications, past medical history, family and social medical history, a review of the baseline preventive medicine blood tests and investigations.

The hormone panel levels will be reviewed and the proper natural Bio-Identical Hormones will be prescribed with individualized and customized doses at a compounding pharmacy.

Dr Gherman completed her medical school training at the Institute of Medicine Timisoara in Romania. She continued her medical education at Stanford University , Medical School with a fellowship in Immunology, a residency in Occupational Medicine at UCSF and a MPH from  Medical College of Milwaukee.
She has an extensive experience as a physician at several hospitals from Bay Area:

Dr. Gherman has been working for the last ten years as the Medical Director of SLAC, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center at Stanford University providing comprehensive preventive medicine services.

Dr. Gherman a former Romanian gymnast has been very athletic with bicycling, skiing and dancing. She has extensive knowledge in nutrition, hormonal imbalance, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.The exciting newer approach on age management, hormonal balance in preventing premature aging has been very rewarding for her as well as her patients from Stanford University.

Dr Gherman's passion is to empower her patients through comprehensive and compassionate care and help them to improve the quality of their lives. Her interests are anti-aging pharmacology and aesthetic enhancement and rejuvenation.
